I read the Anne of Green Gables recently and I loved it so much that I immediately searched up all the other L.M. Montgomery books. Emily of New Moon is a great book, and it is incredible that Montgomery was able to make the readers feel…

Really Really REALLY love L.M Montgomery's books! She is SO amazing with her books and characters, and knows exactly how to make an amazing and clever story! I read the Anne of Green Gables series before Emily's story and I LOVED those…

Love L.M. Montgomery's books and characters! This is another spirited young girl whose passion for writing spoke especially to me. Looking forward to reading the rest of the Emily series! One of my favourite quotes: "I like cats with…

I love all of L.M. Montgomery's books because of her humour and her insight and observations of human nature. I love the Emily series just as much as the Anne books. Emily is similar to Anne, but she is very focused and determined to…

I know quite a few people who like Emily better than Montgomery's more famous orphan Anne, but I think this was a case of wrong book, wrong time for me because it was a bit of a slog. Slang phrases that I would otherwise have glossed over…

I read the Anne of Green Gables series before I read the Emily trilogy, but though I dearly love Anne, I feel the strongest bond to Emily — probably because her drive/struggle to be a writer is more of a central theme in her story. In a…

This exciting story of Emily is another one of Montgomery’s fine works. It tells the tale of Emily Starr, whose father dies of illness and she is handed to her mother’s family of proud Murrays. Here she struggles with Aunt Elizabeth’s…

I love everything L.M. Montgomery has written and this is just one of many! All her characters including Anne, Pat and Emily bring something different and unique. The Story Girl and her short story collections are all truly amazing! She is…

Not as good as Anne of Green Gables. It has some very dark and sad themes that run throughout making it a much more serious book and lots more scenes that tug at the heart and make me cry. Yes, I cried. Several times. A lot of this series…

For kids (and adults) too emo for Anne of Green Gables. I recommend the 3 book Emily of New Moon series over the better-known Anne of Green Gables books all the time.

I love this book!!! It really shows the importance of family and friends. In my opinion the book is much better than the movie and if I had to choose one I would choose the book in a heartbeat.

Even though it's not as popular as the Anne of Green Gables series, it's just as good, maybe even better!

I decided to read Emily of New Moon after getting the tv series. I thought that the book was great and very interesting. L. M. Montgomery has such a picturesque way of writing that captures her audience's attention!

Although the Emily series is not as famous as the Anne series, it is well worth reading. The tone is a little darker (in the later books) though so appropriate to start this series after the first couple of Anne books.

I read this book a couple years ago and wanted to continue with the series, but I couldn't find the second one. I have the third, but I don't want to skip the middle. Does anyone know where I can find the second book? Its called Emily…

One of my favourite books. Like Anne of Green Gables, Emily is an orphan, but, unlike Anne, Emily has a lot of family; aunts and uncles and cousins and the complicated family dynamics add a lot of humour and depth. Emily is a writer and…
