Wow was this movie disappointing for the acting pedigree of the cast! According to the Internet Movie Database, this was a first and the last for both writer and director - and you can see why no one invited them back! The film just never ended - sometimes that can be a GREAT thing as you disrupt the standard storytelling flow with a significant final plot twist - but this bore just kept going on and on and on and on... In addition, men who had zero problem killing people, who were in no way guilty other than trying to protect their own people, suddenly refused to kill someone who was literally trying to kill them simply because it was a main character. Stuff that just didn't make any sense at all and really killed any momentum the film might have been developing at that point. Yvonne Strahovski is one of my favorites, but somehow, I just didn't feel any chemistry between her and Jason Statham - and that was central to part of the film (I've seen both actors in productions where I felt their chemistry with a costar was red hot - but not this film). Editing, directing and writing flop. Would have loved to see this story in experienced hands.

De Niro is way too old for this sort of thing, Stratham and Owen good and well cast, script sort of clunky and unoriginal. The thing with the hammer with a tile face was dumb like the whole make it look like an accident-why?

It was ok. A lot of action stars in this one, working in this film.

Not the greatest of story lines but well paced and different interesting characters keep this movie interesting until the end.

Car chase, foot chase, guns fights, hand-to-hand combats. If that's what you are looking for you will get some of it here. Otherwise, I don't find the film memorable in any way. The claim that the story is based on a true event in the 80's, to me, is just a claim. And I question its validity.

Marred by too much of the plot being driven by Statham character not wanting to kill anyone important to the plot, so they keep coming back to mess things up for him, kill his friends, etc.

Nothing special here. More of drama than an action movie. Lots of plotting etc and the action scenes are not very entertaining.
