Gillen has Iron Man out among the stars in this second arc of his take on Iron Man. There are two stories here, linked by a common character. In the first, Iron Man finds himself in trouble for his actions in destroying the Phoenix. In the second, he's trying to come to terms with family secrets in the first part of a larger storyline. While Gillen's writing is as always impeccable and rich in characterization, Greg Land does half of the art here (Dale Eaglesham doing the second half is a relief, and why I'd rate it higher than it would be if Land did the whole thing). Land continues to be true to form, seemingly taking much of the inspiration for his stye of art, if you want to call it, from watching way too much porn. Everyone seems to be walking around with facial expressions that remind one of simulated happy moments.

Gave this volume a higher rating than the first 'cuz Greg Land only draws half of it and Gillen's writing is even better now.
