Caters mostly to young trekkers and hosteling enthusiasts, but does have some resources (apps & websites) worth checking out. There were, however, a few typos that missed the editing process and one glaring mistake in describing South America, stating "... Spanish is the national language in all but three countries (Guyana, French Guyana and Suriname) ...." Makes no mention of Brazil, the most populated country in S.A. where the official language is Portuguese.

An interesting and engaging book--lots of graphics and pictures with a straightforward layout. Handy introduction for anyone thinking of going solo on a trip.
