I was tempted to quit listening to this book several times. The narrator sounds more like a newscaster in the beginning, the "protagonist" is not a sympathetic character, and much of the suspense hinges on dreading what unwise choice the protagonist is going to make next. Of course all of these things make for a better ending, and there are some cool things about the way the resolution unfolds, thanks to a fascinating supporting character.

The indexing on this recording is severely lacking. Some tracks are over 15 minutes long.
