Add a CommentI liked this DVD. It is too violent for kids. Tris and Four are now fugitives on the run, hunted by Jeanine, the leader of the power-hungry Erudite elite. Racing against time, they must find out what Tris's family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them. The Insurgent movie reminds me of the movie called The Assassin's Creed. In the movie called Insurgent, Tris is connected with cables to reveal a secret from a black box. Tris is 100% Divergent so she can open and reveal the secret of the black box. Likewise, the movie called Assassin's Creed has the main character connected to a machine called the Animus to reveal the location of a secretive Apple of Eden. The main character in Assassin's Creed is Aguilar and he has the unique blood and memories of descendants that allow only him to discover secrets of the past. In both movies, both main characters are unique in solving a complicated question. Who are we?
This was a really good movie! It had good characters and a good storyline. I recommend!
I don't know what you guys are talking about, but the movie and the book for 1-3 were good.
Just meh
Rated 4/10. I was not very impressed with the plotline or acting. Below average.
Tries too hard to ground itself in the future. With too many distracting visuals, complete loss of the books subtlety and psychological struggle, this one exists. I watch it every so often, just to have background noise.
Ehh. Not fantastic. Also the people in this movie have forgotten what peace is. Peace is not quiet, it similar but still different than tranquility.
Eh. Ok I guess.
I know I will likely be frowned upon for saying so, but this is a rare instance of a movie that I actually liked better than the book. The book admittedly does a much better job of getting inside Tris's head, but I found the plot arc of the movie to be tighter in some ways, which really worked well for the pacing on screen. I still find the concept of this dystopian world very intriguing, and I am enjoying the relationship building between Tris and Four--it's nice to have a teen romance that doesn't involve a love triangle.
