For the Love of God
The Mennonites and Benjamin EbyDVD - 1998
Benjamin Eby led a small group of Mennonites to Ontario from Pennsylvania in the early 1800's. With $20,000 in American silver dollars, hidden in patchwork quilts and flour barrels, they purchased land in Waterloo County. This was the beginning of the flourishing Mennonite community in Ontario. Its current fortunes are described by two of Benjamin Eby's descendants, one a modern Mennonite, adapting to change, the other an Old Order Mennonite, keeping to the beliefs and traditions of his ancestors.
