A perfectly charming love story centered around an aristocrat and Emma, the maid he falls for in Victorian-era England. This manga series gives a three-dimensionality to even minor characters, and is something worth checking out if you're new to the genre, or even a seasoned reader. Fans of Downton Abbey will LOVE this!

A quiet and very character-driven story about a maid and an aristocrat who fall in love. I really enjoy Kaoru Mori's work, but overall I prefer her newer series - A Bride's Story - perhaps because of the more exotic Central Asian setting. I highly recommend this title for a relaxing, romantic read with a cup of tea on a Saturday morning.
