Not my first book by Wilbur Smith, but possibly the last. Pre-World War I Flynn O'Flynn and Sebastian Oldsmith are ivory poachers in German East Africa and the German Commissioner, Herman Fleischer, is after them. I found the storey somewhat disjointed. Characters were not developed and the blood and gore was too much. Did not finish.
