Nancy Drew, a young detective with a good mind, goes on a cruise to New York. On the ship – Winschoten – a mysterious brass bound trunk is given to Nancy, since it has the initials "N.D." She discovers valuable and stolen papers as well as many precious jewels hidden in the lining of the trunk. Nelda Detweiler, the neice of the captain of the Winschoten, has been falsely accused of stealing several items from a jewelry store. How Nancy Drew and her friends solve this mystery is an adventure you won't want to miss!
