I recently rediscovered this album and it feels like connecting with an old friend. Originally released in 1998, the songs still feel contemporary. "Can't Let Go" and "Drunken Angel" are bluesy, country classics!

This album from 1998 was her big breakthrough to more mainstream success. It is brilliant and sounds like the South and, yes, gravel roads. "Joy" is my favorite song on Car Wheels.

One of the best. The last great country album!
