A very touching story of irony, humanity, and regret. The acting worked, the music (except for the guitar songs) could have been better, but it still did the book justice. They left out all the parts they didn't need, while focusing on the important parts of the story. I'm glad I watched it.

Rated 8/10. I thought this was fairly well done. The circumstances around this story were not unbelieveable, considering the times at the start of the movie. It is amazing how much has changed to the present.

Just as good as the book. This movie will not disappoint.

A good story that I found compelling and hard to accept. How could a father do this? Its still worth watching

A sentimental movie that plays like a Hallmark Hall of Fame production. A doctor's wife has fraternal twins, one of which has Down's Syndrome. The doctor gives away the Down's baby to the attending nurse who then raises the child as her own. Feeling some loss and a lot of guilt the doctor financially supports the child. He also keeps in touch with the child's adopted mother by mail and receives pictures of his daughter as she grows into an adult.
