I'm a sucker for a foodie memoir, and while this one didn't entirely captivate me, it still charmed me with real relationships and discussion of mouth-wateringly unique food. The individual dishes get as much attention as the stories associated with them. I listened to the audiobook and missed out on the recipes, but I'm definitely going to puruse her blog at http://orangette.blogspot.com. I'm even inclined to pick up her next book Delancey: A Man, a Woman, a Restaurant, a Marriage.

A blog centered your nerd and her family history. Deeply invested in digging out the tweeks and turns especially of her father, interspersed with food, recipes and travel. I would recommend this book for readers in their twenties. For me, Ruth Reichel does a better job. I did listen all the way through and enjoyed some of the Paris descriptions.
