An 8 year old girl named Mallory McDonald is moving. Mallory loves telling jokes but she doesn't want to move. If she moves her best friend won't be living next door anymore. Mallory lives with her mom, dad, and 10 almost eleven year old brother Max. Her new house is beside a rude ten year old girl Winnie Winston. Her new house is also close to a pond which is understood to grant wishes when you throw rocks into to it. Winnie's younger brother Joey is nice and becomes Mallory's friend.
