"Ben (Michael Douglas) once ruled a car-dealership empire vast enough to fuel a glossy Manhattan lifestyle and endow a library at an East Coast university. But by the time he arrives at the college with his girlfriend's daughter, Allyson (Imogen Poots), who is a prospective student, his world has collapsed around his ears. A business scandal has cost him his income and his marriage to Nancy (Susan Sarandon). His ever-present lust for every passing attractive woman threatens to take what little Ben has left. Even his new relationship with Jordan (Mary-Louise Parker) oscillates with tension. When Ben takes Allyson to tour the school, his motives are more than mixed. "

I enjoyed Mike Douglas' acting performance, but the plot didn't really work for me.

An alright movie, at times interesting and at other times tedious, about a screwed up middle-aged corrupt businessman.

It's a good movie, well it stars one of the all time greats Michael Douglas.and as an older man the attraction to younger women cannot be denied.

Interesting movie about what money can do to people and those around them. Michael Douglas does a great job of being such a sleazy pathetic character - the entire time you just want to yell at him to grow up already! Not a great movie but, overall it was pretty entertaining.

What can you say about a central character who is crooked, venal, self-absorbed, and cares nothing for those closest to him, except for what they can do for him? Well, whatever it is, it isn't entertaining.

I do not like a lot this movie. Better to watch another one... in some time I got sleep...

It's sad to see such a strong cast of wonderful actors play in this inane, poorly written morality play.

Don't waste your time watching it. Instead, borrow one of the older movies where any one of these actors played and enjoy it one more time.
