Can you even imagine the horror of this evacuation? And the general sense of purpose shared by a whole people in defending Britain and saving her "boys?" It's a moving story of an aspect of WWII that I had no experience with. As with many, many historical war movies, no named women, and very few words spoken by women. Is this inevitable, or is this a habit of male directors and screenwriters? (Let's note here that one of the producers is a woman...)
