I do enjoy a visit with Deborah and Dwight and their family. This time we get to enjoy the comeuppance of a dishonest auctioneer as well as the solution of the murder, which kept me guessing until the end. Margaret Maron's ear for southern language and knowledge of social customs let us participate in the doings of Colleton County as they continue from book to book. The family tree in the front of each book gives us a reference point. If you have not read the previous books in the series, you'll want to go back and catch up.
