I loved this book as Anna and Charles go to visit a old friend of Charles who is terminally ill. It turns out the wife Maggie, of the ill man Joseph was a possible mate for Charles in the past. There is a mystery involving the fae magic attack on the son's wife. The werewolves know the fae are to be rarely trusted, as they look on the human with contempt and hunger. The fact Charles father Bran the Marrock has just made a treaty with the fae adds to his dilemma. Sweet Anna is a powerful werewolf herself and holds her own against the evil monsters that hunger for children. Great read.
