Starring Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka, the estranged owner of a beloved chocolate factory, he searches for an heir to his business, doing so by creating a contest and bringing the five golden ticket winners to tour his factory. While touring the factory and meeting the Oompa Loompas the five children slowly get eliminated in undoubtedly strange ways, leaving an unlikely winner to Wonka’s peculiar business. I would strongly recommend this movie to any age because of, the excellent portrayal of the characters, odd humour, captivating atmosphere and good underlying moral despite the method of portrayal. @GoosReviews of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library This movie is good but, unfortunately, I watched it after "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" because Johnny Depp's movie was the new version. And of course, in the new movie all the machines and the decorations are newer and prettier. But that doesn't mean that the old version is bad -- it is the 1st version and that makes it unforgettable. I think that the two Wonkas have done a really great job in acting the character, although Johnny Depp was funnier and weirder in a funny way too, but I think that the two were great. This movie is appropriate for all ages and I give it 5.5/10. - @rahmamawlood of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
