Directed by Mike Nichols in 1966 adapted from the play of the same name by Edward Albee, this American drama depicts the volatile marriage of a middle-aged couple. The film adaptation differs slightly from the play, which has only four characters. Despite these minor deviations, however, the film appears extremely faithful to the play. So, I wonder, what's the point adapting the play into the film, which turns out to be nothing but talking back and forth.
